My Experience

I am a yoga teacher and bodyworker with over 20 years of experience helping people feel better through movement and physical therapy.

I offer yoga practices and bodywork treatments to nourish and replenish body and mind.

How I can help you

Modern life can take its toll on the body; prolonged periods of sitting and increased psychosocial stress can lead to postural issues, decreased mobility and tensions being held deep into the fascia. A tense, restricted, painful or weak body can bring unease and agitation to the mind. It has been my experience that pushing and pulling ourselves into shapes (the ‘no pain no gain’ attitude) simply sustains deeply held tensions at best, and leads to further pain, tension and injury at worst.

I guide students to listen in to their body, incorporating gentle, mindful practices that relieve restrictions and help them to fully inhabit their body, bringing a felt sense freedom and ease.

Who are the classes for?

My classes are suitable for people of all abilities seeking to restore function and a sense of ease to both body and mind.  I offer group classes in person and online, 121 yoga sessions, workshops and retreats.

My formative yoga years were spent studying with Peter Blackaby (Author of Intelligent Yoga), and I trained as a Yoga teacher in a style that was inspired by Vanda Scaravelli.
Since then I have undertaken further training with Donna Farhi and Leila Stuart (Authors of ‘Pathways to a centred being’), and I have trained with Judith Hanson Lasater in Restorative Yoga.(‘Relax & Renew’).


More recently I have been studying Yoga & Somatics for Healing and Recovery with Charlotte Watts (Author of ‘The Stress Effect’ & ‘Yoga for digestive Health’).
I have taken further study workshops with Lisa Petersen, Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen and Eric Franklin, and I assisted Donna Farhi on her ‘Coming Back to our Senses’ 5 day Yoga Intensive at Tri Yoga in London in June 2019.

Initially, I trained for an ITEC diploma in massage therapy before going on to study Therapeutic Bodywork at The University of Westminster, London.
Additionally, I  trained in Craniosacral Therapy with The Upledger Institute, and more recently qualified in Ayurvedic massage with Sunnita Passi of Tri Dosha.
